John, you state your position rather well and I agree with what you say. If I was in the Peoria School District, I would vote for you. Our kids and this country need a firm understanding of what it means to be an American. As Abraham Lincoln said, “we are one generation from being extinct.” If the upcoming generation doesn’t understand our heritage and can’t compete in the upcoming world, then the USA will be a footnote in history.

John, I could not agree more wholeheartedly with the thoughts you express about the direction of our education system. Somehow our school systems have become some sort of fulltime
childcare benefit for working, or otherwise engaged, parents. From what I see, there is little classroom discipline, very little real education, and a low level of respect for our teachers.
I’m also not confident about the quality of some of those who are teachers of our children.
More focus is needed in the area of teacher performance, and content of what is being taught.
From personal experience in relations with you, I know you to be an honorable man, and one that believes his word should be stood behind. It’s my intention to send this link to all my acquaintences living in the Peoria District.
